What is a Panarophile?

The simplest answer...a fan of the wonderfully talented Hugh Panaro!

Of course, a longer explanation might be in order.

The Panarophiles are a sort of unofficial group of Hugh's admirers. The group - and this site - originally came together as a result of various interesting and funny conversations at the old phantomfans.net.

The name "Panarophiles" was coined one summer evening to describe this little loyal group of friends who love, admire, and respect Hugh as a remarkably talented performer and a genuinely lovely person.

His beautiful voice, his stunning performance in The Phantom of the Opera, and his absolutely gracious way of treating those fans lucky enough to meet him have impressed quite a few...and we're very proud to be Panarophiles!

The idea grew into a web site, Panarophiles.net, which was launched in early August 2005.  In February 2006, the site expanded and changed to hugh-panaro.net.

May 1, 2006 - The Panarophiles got a great mention from Hugh and a Broadway.com reporter at the Lestat Broadway premiere party!
